To Infinity and Beyond: Attracted to Worldwide Expansion Opportunities

One of the most respected real estate professionals in his market, Gary Mercer, Sr., has been dedicated to his clients for more than 25 years. But not only is Mercer a great businessman, he is a proud father who loves being in business with his children.

“As a father, one of the greatest joys is seeing your children’s career just take off. It is so much fun to see them succeed,” Mercer said about his son, Gary Mercer, Jr., and daughter, Sharra Mercer, both members of The Mercer Group.

“Keller Williams gives my team more ownership and a chance to expand and grow – even worldwide. I knew Keller Williams was doing it right when they started Mega Agent Expansion. I should have made that changed 10 years ago.”

Mercer was no stranger to Keller Williams. He has a lot of friends in his professional network and mastermind groups who are with the company. “When I attended my first Family Reunion, it was so much fun to see all these familiar faces,” Mercer said. “It was like a homecoming.”

Mercer was engrained in his business and prior company, Fox & Roach (now Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices), where he spent his entire career up to this point. Not wanting any major business interruptions, he asked himself, “How do I transfer my current business with the least amount of disruption?” To his delight, the transition was as smooth as it could be and now that his group is here, they are reveling in the training and culture.

“I started KW MAPS Coaching immediately,” Mercer said. “It is fun to be able to offer my team members the training and coaching programs available at Keller Williams.” They are taking off and doing well putting transactions on the board. There is a new level of enthusiasm for the things they are achieving and what they will achieve.”

As many of his friends opened Keller Williams offices over the years, Mercer’s interest in Keller Williams piqued. And when Mega Agent Expansion was launched, the company really caught his attention. “What Keller Williams teaches and trains agents to do in their business is the right thing for agents to be doing,” Mercer said.
